Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Behavioral Research Coordinator I for our Outpatient Services in Lincoln Park, Chicago. This full-time role supports study implementation, data collection, and regulatory compliance within pediatric behavioral research programs.

Under supervision, you will help with protocol coordination, consent processes, data entry in REDCap, and literature reviews to support grant timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered if directly related to duties.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Some knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines.
• Proficient analytical skills with ability to adapt to various systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists with behavioral research projects, including start-up and close-out activities.
• Maintains adherence to study protocols and regulatory standards.
• Coordinates with departments to implement studies.
• Supports development, implementation and tracking of studies with minimal supervision.
• Prepares protocols, informed consents, recruitment materials, and maintains documentation.
• Identifies and guides eligible participants through consent/assent.
• Assists in delivering behavioral interventions and arranging visits.
• Abstracts data from medical records into CRFs and REDCap; prepares data for analysis.
• Creates and updates research-related forms and manages reimbursements.
• Conducts literature searches and tracks deadlines for grants and deliverables.
• Promotes ethical conduct by participating in research meetings.
