Job summary

The Scripps Research Institute is seeking a research professional to join a multidisciplinary team studying the neurobiological and neuroimmunological bases of drug addiction. You will perform behavioral methods such as drug self-administration and neurochemical techniques, analyze data, and troubleshoot procedures.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of experience (Master’s with 2+ years may be accepted).

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of experience; Master’s degree with 2+ years may be accepted
• Strong background in behavioral neuroscience; highly motivated and semi-independent

Responsibilities

• Perform research and standard laboratory procedures for projects
• Analyze data, interpret results, and troubleshoot methods as needed
• Assist in designing experiments and provide routine equipment maintenance
• Provide guidance or training to other department personnel
