Job summary

Constructive Partnerships Unlimited seeks a Behavioral Intervention Specialist for our Brooklyn, Manhattan and Long Island City Day Programs. The BIS will address mental health and behavioral needs, working with the Interdisciplinary Team in a full-time, on-site role.

Responsibilities include identifying behaviors, developing and reviewing behavior support plans, training staff, and coordinating with medical and behavioral professionals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis, Counseling, School Psychology, Human Development or related field.
• BCBA with a relevant master’s degree is acceptable for Level 1 BIS.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Applied Behavior Analysis or related field for Level 2 BIS.

Responsibilities

• Identify behaviors and mental health issues deviating from normative behavior.
• Develop and monitor baseline data for behavior support plans.
• Draft and revise behavior support plans and monitoring plans annually.
• Train staff on behavior support plans and general approaches to managing behaviors.
• Coordinate with IDT and clinicians to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide written reports and participate in team meetings.
