Job summary

FlexStaff is hiring a Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) to join our team in Fishkill, NY. The BIS works with the Interdisciplinary Team to address mental health and behavioral needs of clients served.

The position is hourly at $28.65, with a Mon-Fri schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role supports data collection, assessment, and development of behavior support plans under supervision.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology.
• OPWDD-approved certifications or licensure are required or preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify behaviors and mental health issues in conjunction with the IDT.
• Oversee collection of baseline data for behavior support and monitoring plans.
• Complete functional behavioral assessments prior to developing behavior support plans.
• Write and revise behavior support plans and monitoring plans, with annual reviews.
• Train staff on implementation of behavior support plans and monitoring plans.
• Maintain and submit timely reports and documentation.
