Job summary

Arc of Onondaga County in New York seeks a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to design and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with the program planning team, and lead training for staff to apply effective behavioral interventions.

The role requires a Master's degree in a clinical field and at least 3 years of experience with IDD, plus eligibility for OPWDD BIS levels.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field (Psychology, Social Work, etc.).
• At least 3 years of experience with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and experience creating/monitoring behavior support plans.
• OPWDD qualifications or equivalent training/certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans to promote positive outcomes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold human rights standards in interventions.
• Collaborate with the program planning team to support behavioral interventions and psychological services.
• Train staff on implementing behavioral support plans to ensure consistency.
