Job summary

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Twin Lakes is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist Associate to join a compassionate, multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on adults and adolescents in outpatient settings, offering CBT, MI, DBT, and EMDR-based care within IOP and standard outpatient programs.

The position emphasizes comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and collaboration with a psychiatrist to support recovery and wellness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education or related field.
• Completion of a human services internship/practicum or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage adults and adolescents, gather psychiatric and referral information to support continuity of care.
• Under supervision, conduct assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Provide individual and group therapy, recovery education, and family involvement as appropriate.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and community resources to monitor progress and coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement.
