Job summary

UPMC Western Behavioral Health in Somerset, PA seeks a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist Associate to provide clinical treatment for clients with substance use disorders at the Twin Lakes Adult Residential Facility.

Under supervision, you will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, document sessions, and coordinate care with the treatment team. Prior counseling experience is preferred, with a weekday schedule and some weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in psychology, social work, counseling, education in school counseling, or related field.
• Completion of a human services internship/practicum or 1 year of relevant human services experience.
• Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify scope of role and interventions with supervision based on experience.
• Engage potential clients and monitor engagement barriers.
• Obtain history and information to support continuity of care between facilities.
• Conduct structured assessments and inform treatment decisions under supervision.
• Complete screenings and collect data to inform treatment planning.
