Job summary

The Spring Harbor Hospital in Westbrook, ME is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to help maintain a safe, healing environment and provide direct patient care within the behavioral health team. You will support treatment plans, observe patients, and assist with daily living activities and group facilitation.

Qualified candidates may have a sign-on bonus up to $2,000; education requirements include a high school diploma/GED and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current RQI/BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start.
• Completion of CPI/MOAB training within 60 days of start.
• Less than six (6) months of experience as a Psychiatric Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and emotional support.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Observe, collect data, and document findings to support clinical operations.
• Assist with activities of daily living, facilitate groups, and engage patients with therapeutic communication.
• Promote a safe and therapeutic environment by observing and reporting changes in patient behavior.
