Job summary

MaineHealth in Westbrook, ME is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to support a safe, therapeutic environment in the behavioral health unit at Spring Harbor Hospital. The role provides direct patient care, emotional support, and helps implement individualized treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team.

This is an evening, eight-hour shift; schedule rotates weekly as described. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $4,000.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current RQI/BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start
• Completion of CPI/MOAB training within 60 days of start
• Less than six (6) months of experience as a Psychiatric Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and emotional support.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Facilitate groups and activities.
• Observe and report changes in patient behavior; document accurately.
• Collaborate with Nurses, Psychiatrists, and Social Workers to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
