Job summary

MaineHealth’s Spring Harbor Hospital is seeking an evening Psychiatric Technician to provide direct patient care and therapeutic support within a safe, healing environment. You will work with nurses, psychiatrists, and social workers to implement treatment plans and observe patient progress.

This role offers eight-hour shifts with rotating Sundays and weekdays, a sign-on bonus up to $4,000, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current RQI/BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start.
• Completion of CPI/MOAB training within 60 days of start.
• Experience: Less than six (6) months of experience as a Psychiatric Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and emotional support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans.
• Observe, document and report patient behavior changes.
• Assist with activities of daily living and facilitate groups and activities.
