Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Milieu Technician/Behavioral Health Technician at the Brighton Center for Recovery in Brighton, MI. You will support patients on their recovery journey under supervision, planning therapeutic activities and ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring interactions, facilitating group activities, documenting progress, and encouraging 12 Step engagement. Certifications and a driver’s license are required, with CPI and BLS completed within 120 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License with no DUI/OWI in the past 5 years.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 120 days of employment and maintain it thereafter.
• Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 120 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years of personal recovery experience.
• Some experience in the MH or SUD space.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient interactions to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Facilitate small group discussions and recreational activities for recovery.
• Document patient progress and interventions per policy.
• Assist in medication monitoring and storage in Halfway House setting.
• Encourage engagement in 12 Step programs and recovery philosophies.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for group activities and a safe environment.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid Driver's License (no DUI/OWI in past 5 years)

CPI certification within 120 days

Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) within 120 days
