Henry Ford Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician at our Jackson hospital campus. The role focuses on delivering direct patient care to individuals with addiction, behavioral health, or mental health needs in a safe, therapeutic setting.

You will work under Registered Nurses, assess patient data, support care plans, and contribute to recovery and wellbeing in a community-focused environment.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of college in Behavioral Health or EMT-related field, or one year of Behavioral Health Technician experience.
• BLS Heartsaver Certification required by orientation and active thereafter.
• WELLE training within first three months (location-specific).

You’ll support patients with addiction, behavioral issues, or mental health challenges, creating a safe and therapeutic environment. Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year college experience in Behavioral Health, Allied Health, Psychology, or related field, OR at least one year of Behavioral Health Technician experience or applicable experience such as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
• Ability to physically manage patients in a safe and therapeutic manner.
• Complete BLS Heartsaver Certification during orientation and maintain active certification.
• Complete WELLE training within the first three months and maintain active certification (location specific).

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician in an inpatient psychiatric or addiction medicine setting.
