Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year college in Behavioral Health or related field.
• If no college, at least 1 year Behavioral Health Technician or EMT experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician in inpatient psychiatric or addiction medicine preferred.
• Ability to physically manage patients safely.
• Interpersonal and analytical skills to assess patients and interact with care team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care activities with empathy and professionalism, supporting patients with addiction, behavioral health, and mental health needs.
• Foster positive patient interactions and cultivate a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes wellbeing and recovery.
• Communicate proactively with your manager about significant patient care developments and concerns.
• Collaborate with the nursing and healthcare team to ensure coordinated, quality care delivery.
• Support patients with compassion, encouragement, and genuine care throughout their treatment journey.
