Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join a multidisciplinary team. The role provides direct patient care under supervision, fostering a therapeutic milieu and ensuring safety and adherence to care plans.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, documenting care, and participating in education groups. The position requires BLS readiness and experience with psychiatric populations.

Qualifications

• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• CNA or EMT certification preferred.
• Post-high-school education in health sciences or related fields.
• Experience with psychiatric and/or chemically dependent patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living tasks and document activities and treatments accurately.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to clinical staff.
• Provide safe patient care and support according to the multidisciplinary plan.
• Orient patients to the Behavioral Health unit and assist in groups/education.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized unit and participate in regulatory tasks.
