Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to join a multidisciplinary team. Under supervision, you will build rapport with patients, support the therapeutic milieu, and document care promptly to support patient safety and treatment goals.

You will assist with daily activities, monitor conditions, and participate in education groups while ensuring a respectful, confidential, and structured environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Post-high school education in health-related field preferred.
• CNA or EMT certification preferred.
• Experience with psychiatric or chemically dependent patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living tasks and document delegated care procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and provide limited medical intervention under supervision.
• Orient patients to the Behavioral Health unit and provide supplies as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and observe safety protocols.
• Report changes in patient condition and assist in care planning.
• Participate in group activities and psycho-educational sessions.
• Support staff and students in orientation and training.
