Job summary

Canyon Vista Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for night shifts to support a 19-bed behavioral health unit. The role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe, therapeutic setting.

You will work under nursing supervision, assist with ADLs, observe patient status, and participate in crisis interventions to maintain unit safety and patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• License: CNA Preferred
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must have within 45 days of hire
• Handle with Care (HWC) Must have within 45 days of hire
• Requires the ability to work in a stressful environment with limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of nursing staff, provides direct patient care and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Delivers direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions as needed.
• Observes and records patient behavior and activities.
• Reports changes in condition to nursing staff and suggests treatment plan modifications.
• Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
