Adventist Health Vallejo seeks a Psychiatric Technician to provide direct and indirect care for patients receiving psychiatric services under the supervision of an RN. You will collect patient data, use age-appropriate interventions, and assist with therapeutic activities in a dynamic hospital environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, preferred LPT/LVN/LPT licensure, BLS, TEAM/CPI training, and 1–2 years of mental health care experience.

Qualificações

• High school education or GED required.
• Associate or technical degree preferred.
• Two years' experience in acute or long-term mental health hospital preferred.
• Licensed Psychiatric Technician licensure preferred.
• LVN/LPN or LPT license required per facility.
• TEAM/CPI or CPI training required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Uses de-escalation techniques and less restrictive interventions when providing nursing care.
• Plans for meeting daily care needs of assigned patients; evaluates problems and changes.
• Documents patient data including vital signs, behavior and symptoms; informs RN of changes.
• Administers medications per physician orders and coordinates with pharmacy staff.
• Handles admissions/discharges, intake interviews and orientation.
• Monitors patient safety and environmental conditions; ensures smooth shift transitions.
• Educates patients and families on care plans and safety.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
