Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in acute or long-term mental healthcare hospital: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Uses de-escalation techniques and less restrictive interventions when providing nursing care.
• Processes admissions and discharges, and completes intake interviews and orientation as needed.
• Monitors patient safety and documents observations including vital signs, medications, and behavior.
• Ensures effective communication with patients, families, and other health care staff.
• Administers medications per physician orders and coordinates with pharmacy staff.
