Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Indianapolis, IN is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts in our Detox and Residential facility. You’ll oversee daily residential operations, support the BHT team, and help maintain a warm, recovery-focused environment on site.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, empathy, and boundary- setting, with required sobriety in recovery and a valid driver’s license. CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications).
• Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance with Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
