Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for our Detox and Residential treatment facility. You will manage daily operations, training, client engagement, and ensure compliance with policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, CPR certification preferred, and a year sober if in recovery. Strong leadership, empathy, and boundary-setting are essential. We offer a supportive culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations ( intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications ).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
