Job summary

ABA Support Services in Williamsport, PA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician/Direct Therapist to organize data collection, assist with behavioral assessments, and support program implementation under supervision. The role includes leading duties during temporary absence of lead therapists and collaboration with staff and parents.

The position requires data handling, session preparation, progress notes, and active participation in baseline, treatment, and training sessions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 College credits, Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in Psychology, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Education, or related field is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in a reputable clinic, home, or school program is highly desirable.
• 1 year clinical/home/school experience providing direct services to children with Autism, training parents, and supervising staff in the implementation of intervention protocols.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able to work with children across functioning levels and implement programs in home, school, and community environments.
• Motivated, excellent work ethic, high quality work, and able to work with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
• Assist lead therapist with keeping up-to-date graphs and data summaries.
• Write progress notes, update programs, create session materials, and maintain program books.
• Participate in baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
• Prepare and clean up session-related activities (room, equipment).
• Provide direct client care following prescribed behavioral protocols; one-on-one or in groups.
