Job summary

ABA Support Services in Scranton, PA seeks a Behavioral Health Technician/Direct Therapist to organize data systems, assist with behavioral assessments, and support program implementation for children with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include data collection, progress notes, session materials, and staff/parent training. The role may assume lead therapist duties temporarily; HS diploma and relevant experience preferred, with reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a reputable clinic, home, or school program is desirable.
• 1 year of clinical/home/school experience providing direct services to children with Autism.
• Willing to learn an early learning curriculum and applied behavioral principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
• Assist lead therapist with up-to-date graphs, data summaries, and calculations.
• Write progress notes and program updates; create session materials.
• Participate in baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
• Help prepare and clean up session activities and equipment.
• Support protocol dissemination, reviews, and staff/parent training.
• Use safe handling and guidance procedures when transporting clients.
• Provide direct client care per behavioral protocols; may be one-on-one or group.
• Shadow/co-treat/treat 2–4 hours weekly.
• Report parent concerns to the lead therapist.
• Report suspected child abuse within 24 hours.
