Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for our inpatient detox and residential facility. You will oversee daily residential operations, supervise staff, and support patient engagement to foster a warm recovery environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification preferred, and a valid driver's license. If in recovery, a year of sobriety is preferred. Join us to contribute to compassionate, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

Manage all daily residential operations (intake, supervision, events, transportation, meals, medications).
Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
Escalate concerns to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm recovery environment.
Ensure client and BHT compliance with all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.

Now hiring a behavioral health technician for our new inpatient detox and residential facility in Richmond, VA!

What You’ll Do

Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)
Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For

High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver’s license and CPR certification preferred
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
