Job summary

Oakwood Springs in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech to support the therapeutic milieu under RN supervision and ensure safety, treatment, and dignity for patients and guests.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license with good MVR, and CPR/CPI certifications within 30 days. The role includes a full-time schedule, with day shifts (3x12, 7am–7pm) and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and a favorable MVR, plus proof of insurance when using personal or hospital vehicles.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• Additional age-specific training within 30 days of employment as required.

A Behavioral Health Tech who excels in this role: Responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, by ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, patients are supervised, that safety is maintained, and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity.

What We're Looking For

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

License

• Will require valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle

Certification

• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required
• Where applicable, must obtain and maintain agency affiliation

Minimum Work Experience

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
