Job summary

Oakwood Springs in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech to support the therapeutic milieu under RN supervision. The schedule is 3x12, 7pm-7am, with a focus on patient safety and respectful care.

Responsibilities include ensuring program delivery, supervising patients, and maintaining a safe environment while collaborating with the care team. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR and CPI training within 30 days, and relevant health facility experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license and favorable MVR if using personal vehicle.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• Completion of required age-specific training within 30 days.

How You'll Contribute

Responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, by ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, patients are supervised, that safety is maintained, and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• License: Will require valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle
• Certification: CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required
• Where applicable, must obtain and maintain agency affiliation

Minimum Work Experience

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
• Additional Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age
