Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

A Behavioral Health Technician acts as a liaison between clients and clinical staff, prioritizing creating a safe environment for individuals in recovery. This role could be the start of your career!

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll assist with client intake, transportation, answer questions, and help clients adapt to the program routine. You'll observe and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to medical staff, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1+ years experience in Mental Health Field (or relevant college coursework) - preferred
• Ability and desire to ensure patient safety
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
• Valid Driver's License
• CDCA certification

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships with patients
• Assist with admission, orientation, and scheduling
• Maintain communication during patient intake
• Complete shift reports and checklists
• Facilitate patient orientation groups
• De-escalate situations and assist with patients leaving treatment against medical advice
• Monitor patient locations and safety during visits
• Assist with medication monitoring if applicable
• Keep properties and areas clean and organized
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings
• Exercise professional judgment and seek assistance when needed
• Protect patient privacy in accordance with policies and laws
