Shifts include Daytime (7am-7pm) and Overnight (7pm-7am) on a 12-hour rotating schedule. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and adherence to policies within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health or social services advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals per facility menu.
• Complete items on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Supervise resident medication procedures; count and document narcotics.
• Daily chart documentation.
• Follow The Wood Group policies and procedures.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our mental health care team. In this vital role, you will support individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, helping them achieve stability and improved well-being through compassionate care and structured support. Full-time shifts available:

• Daytime shift - 7am to 7pm (12hr rotating schedule)
• Overnight shift - 7pm to 7am (12hr rotating schedule)

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
