- Clearance Requirements: National Crime Information Center (NCIC) with fingerprints and Drug Screen
- Estimated Compensation: $18.25 - $22.75 per hour (negotiable).
- Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours a week.

- Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year, starting on day one.
- Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year, starting on day one.

Summary of Duties
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing support and care to patients with mental health and behavioral disorders. The technician will assist in implementing treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Previous experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT) preferred.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities and provide support during therapy sessions. Monitor and document patient behavior and progress.
- Treatment Implementation: Follow treatment plans developed by healthcare providers. Implement therapeutic activities and interventions as directed.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage emergencies and critical situations. Provide de-escalation techniques and support during crises.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about coping strategies, therapeutic techniques, and community resources. Provide guidance on how to support the patient's progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including behavior logs, progress notes, and incident reports. Ensure compliance with all documentation standards.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a safe and clean environment.
