Job summary

The Emily Program is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support residential and inpatient care. You will facilitate activity groups, help clients acquire skills to manage their eating disorder, and maintain a recovery-oriented environment.

This full-time role (0.8 FTE, 32 hours/week) operates on first shift, 6am–2:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays. Join a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based care and compassionate support to clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher with 2 years healthcare experience preferred (e.g., paraprofessional, mental health technician).
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field; relevant certification/licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plans and treatment, assisting in admissions and supporting clients in programming.
• Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation.
• Engages, challenges, and supports residents as needed; reports observations and documents in charts.
• Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction; monitors and documents exercise.
• Enforces policies with residents and completes hourly room-checks.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or higher / 2 years healthcare experience

Bachelor's degree in psychology / social work / behavioral health

Valid driver’s license

Direct mental health experience preferred
