Job summary

The Emily Program is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to monitor and assist adolescent clients in a residential milieu, lead activities to help residents adjust to living in a community setting, and support the skills needed to manage their eating disorders.

This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on care plans, participating in therapeutic meals and outings, documenting observations, enforcing policies, and providing consistent supervision on hourly checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with one year of Mental health experience or
• Bachelor's degree in Mental health field with 0-1 year of experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive

Responsibilities

• Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming
• Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation
• Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts
• Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise.
• Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room-checks
