Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. (UHS) through Calvary Healing Center in Phoenix seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for PRN daytime coverage. The role provides continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling within the treatment team.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma/GED, a valid driver's license, and Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 30 days. BLS/First Aid and Handle With Care training should be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age to be a BHT.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and pass a 39-Month Driving Report.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred one year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health inpatient setting.
• Completion of BLS & First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of Handle With Care Training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
• Work under the direction of the Milieu Manager, RN Charge Nurse, and Director of Nursing.
• Operate as an active and crucial part of the treatment team.
• Support shift operations as PRN daytime staff (7:00am–7:30pm).
