Job summary

CHI Health Lasting Hope Recovery Center is a 64-bed adult psychiatric facility where compassionate care and teamwork drive daily operations. The Mental Health Tech role supports psychiatrists, patients, and the care management team to ensure smooth front-and-back office functions, accurate documentation, and quality medication management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with at least 1 year of mental health experience.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Human Service or Psychiatric Assistant/Nurse Aide training.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in trauma-informed care to support self-expression and problem-solving.
• Provide feedback and reinforce program rights and behavioral guidelines.
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as vital signs, BP, specimen collection, accu checks, and assist with ADL.
• Offer trauma-informed care and supervise patients needing restraints or seclusion.
• Support patients with relationship issues and teach social skills as part of activities.
• Communicate effectively within a diverse team and participate in meetings and quality assurance.
