Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program in Stamford, CT is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech III to support patients through admission to discharge, contribute to treatment planning, ensure safety, and lead psychoeducational groups.

The role involves assisting nursing staff, maintaining confidentiality, documenting shift notes, transporting patients when needed, and supporting the clinical team in implementing treatment plans; on-site schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 6:30am–2:30pm.

Qualifications

• Two+ years experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field.
• Valid driver’s license (unrestricted).
• CPI certification within 90 days; CPR/AED/First Aid and Food Handling certifications within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and assist in crisis situations as needed.
• Assist nursing staff with duties including patient supervision and vitals.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and support treatment planning.
• Document shift notes, group notes, and other required records daily.

Skills

Two+ years experience in mental health

Valid driver’s license

Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

High School Diploma preferred

Tools

CPI certification within 90 days
