Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech III to assist patients through the treatment experience, from admission to discharge. You will support treatment planning, lead psychoeducational groups, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and well-being.

Based in Stamford, CT, the role requires strong confidentiality, ethical conduct, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Two+ years experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable as well.
• CPI certification within 90 days; CPR/AED/First Aid and food handling safety within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Provide patient safety and interventions; support treatment planning.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and assist nursing staff as directed.
• Document shift notes and ensure confidentiality and ethics.
• Facilitate daily groups and maintain organized and safe environment.
• Supervise patient activities, transportation, and discharge processes.

Skills

Two or more years experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree preferred

High School Diploma preferred

CPI certification within 90 days

CPR/AED/First Aid within 30 days

Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days
