Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support clients and the treatment team, maintaining safety, structure, and floor momentum during programming. You will assist with groups, homework collection, monitoring, and documentation under clinical direction.

The role requires handling exposed work with boundaries, confidentiality, and timely completion of notes. Training and supervision are provided to ensure quality care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college or degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Completion of BHT training and required competencies within timelines.
• Ability to use electronic records, email, documents, schedules, and basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Support clients during groups, exposures, skills practice, breaks, transitions, and treatment-floor activities according to clinical direction.
• Assist with exposure setup, homework review, response-prevention reminders, client encouragement, and reduction of avoidance or reassurance behaviours within scope.
• Collect assigned scales, homework, attendance information, group materials, and client-support documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe, structured, clean, and therapeutic treatment-floor environment.
• Communicate client concerns or unusual behavior promptly to clinicians or BHT leadership.
• Participate in group support, activity setup, client redirection, de-escalation support, and crisis response within training and scope.
• Follow confidentiality, privacy, safety, boundaries, attendance, conduct, documentation, and communication requirements.
