Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Behavioral Health RN to provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies and the nursing process, while delivering professional leadership to the healthcare team.

You will implement age-appropriate plans of care, maintain a safe environment, and uphold Service Excellence standards. The role requires a Texas RN license, current BLS, and willingness to participate in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current state nursing license for Texas.
• BLS certification required upon hire or within 30 days.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care using the nursing process.
• Maintain professional behavior and manage conflicts with appropriate resources.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Assess risks to patient safety and implement precautions.
• Comply with organization and accrediting standards.
• Follow patient-centered care delivery model and safety protocols.
