Job summary

COPE Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to support clients within the treatment team. The role involves supervising daily programs and activities, implementing treatment plans, and guiding clients with positive cues and redirection.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED; AZ driver’s license and pass pre-employment screening are required. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED (no experience required).
• 21+ years old with AZ driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide client supervision and care as part of the treatment team.
• Supervise and facilitate daily milieu of programs/services as assigned, such as assisting with activities of daily living skills, educational and community/recovery groups, and activity therapy.
• Read and implement a client’s treatment plan.
• Provide clients with positive cues and redirection.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelors or master’s degree

Associate degree + 1 year behavioral health work experience

High School Diploma or GED + Peer Support Specialist certification + 2 years behavioral health work experience

High School Diploma or GED + four (3) years behavioral health work experience
