Job summary

Scenic Bluffs Community Health Center is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Specialist to assist licensed providers in delivering behavioral health care and coordinating care plans for patients within our health center.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and at least one year of training in behavioral health. You will triage calls, support treatment, provide psychoeducation, and help maintain patient records in our EHR system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 1 year of training in behavioral health or related field.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Triage for the behavioral health department including phone management.
• Assist providers in consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Deliver brief interventions as appropriate for the setting and the individual’s competency.
• With direction from a licensed supervisor, conduct screenings, assessments, and psychoeducation.
• Develop education and supportive interventions to increase patients’ knowledge, skills, and confidence in self-management.
• Assist in the development and updating of department policies and procedures.
• Organize and participate in huddles and panel management meetings.
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in patient records/EHR.
• Collaborate with the medical and behavioral health team to support a comprehensive, person-centered care self-management plan.
