Job summary

COORDINATED CARE service inc is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support counseling staff and client safety in a structured residential setting in New York. The role involves assisting with treatment planning, activities of daily living, and transportation to appointments or activities.

You will work with therapists to deliver interventions, coordinate with families and community services, document changes, and participate in team meetings while promoting a calm, supportive environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid NYS driver's license required.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment planning in milieu.
• Facilitate activities of daily living, community meetings, and engagement.
• Assist therapists to provide therapeutic interventions to support residents' social, cognitive, and behavioral development.
• Provide transportation for clients to appointments or activities.
• Interface with community systems, agencies and families.
• Report changes in clients' condition and document them as needed.
• Participate in staff, in-service and supervisory meetings.
• Assist clients with personal care, household chores, daily living, and safety awareness.
• Maintain living areas and assist with light cleaning.
• Assist with budgeting, grocery shopping and meal preparation per treatment plan.
