Job summary

Homeless Solutions, Inc. in Morristown, NJ seeks a Behavioral Health Program Assistant to support the daily operation of the Behavioral Health Program through administrative coordination, documentation, program logistics, client engagement, and assistance with behavioral health and wellness activities.

This full-time, on-site role reports to the Behavioral Health Counselor. Offered at $21.00/hr, the position includes benefits such as company-sponsored health coverage, a 401k with company match,

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
• Experience with individuals experiencing homelessness or behavioral health needs preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of administrative, residential, human-services, or behavioral health experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of administrative functions and MS Office.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client data and case notes in agency databases.
• Collaborate with staff to identify and share community and behavioral health resources for shelter clients.
• Participate in team meetings and coordinate with external providers regarding behavioral health services and programming.
• Scan and manage confidential documents for Behavioral Health Counselors.
• Coordinate and process in-kind donations with the Volunteer Manager/Program Associate and assist with inventory replenishment.
• Provide backup support to Residential Support Staff for behavioral health-related services, including transportation and medication procedure compliance.
• Support medication monitoring procedures, including observing, counting, recording, and reporting discrepancies under supervision.
• Assist with scheduling, documenting, and implementing individualized safety plans.
• Coordinate and schedule Mental Health and Wellness events and programming.
• Provide transportation to relevant appointments in the agency van.
• Assist with Drug & Alcohol Testing.
• Assist guests with behavioral-health-related needs and agreed-upon program activities.
