Job summary

Compcare seeks a part-time supervisor for a community residential group home in Morris Plains, NJ. You will supervise on-site, assist residents with personal care goals, provide medication education, and monitor self-administration of prescribed medications.

The role includes crisis intervention as needed and reporting concerns to the group home manager. You will help develop consumer activities and encourage participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

• BSW in social work or related field required.
• BA in psychology/criminal justice/sociology or related field with experience accepted.
• Associate degree with two years of relevant mental health experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision and essential coverage to residents in a community group home.
• Assist consumers with personal care goals and educate on medications; observe self-administration.
• Perform crisis intervention as needed and report consumer concerns to the group home manager.

Education

BSW in social work

BS/BA in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field

BA in unrelated field with two years of experience

AA with two years of experience in mental health and human services
