Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist III (BHS III) to provide behavior support services at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center. The role involves conducting observations, functional assessments, and data-driven planning under supervision by a Board Certified, Licensed Behavior Analyst.

The BHS III leads staff training and ensures fidelity of behavior interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with the required degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or related field.
• Experience in behavioral health services and applied behavior analysis is preferred.
• Ability to train staff in behavior support plan implementation and related concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavioral assessments and data analysis to inform behavior support plans.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate behavior support plans and observations.
• Provide training and coaching to staff on behavior support plans and interventions.
• Monitor progress and ensure documentation reflects treatment response and outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams and quality assurance activities.
