Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Behavior Analyst I to deliver advanced behavior analysis services for patients with cognitive, developmental, psychiatric, and physical needs. You will design and implement behavioral programs, contribute to treatment teams, and support staff with effective strategies and safety plans.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in psychology and behavior analyst work
• Master’s or higher degree in behavior analysis, special education, human services, psychology, or related field
• Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis and behavior support plan development

Responsibilities

• Observe and assess patients; design positive interventions for behavioral challenges
• Develop and implement behavioral support and safety plans
• Provide in-person staff training on behavioral interventions
• Review progress and update plans; ensure rights and dignity of patients
• Participate in quality management and safety programs to comply with standards
