Job summary

Connections Health Solutions in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist (FT, Back End Days) to manage safety, take vitals, and assist patients on the unit, while documenting in the EHR and coordinating with the RN/Physician.

The role includes de-escalation techniques, occasional restraints, daily living support, and participation in court hearings when needed, with shift differentials and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health, social services, or related field.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Company policy requires full vaccination or approved exemption.
• Includes ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Takes vitals and assists individuals on the unit, documenting in the EHR.
• Conducts security screening and admissions orientation.
• Intervenes with escalated individuals using de-escalation techniques and applies restraints if needed.
• Lifts, moves, and transports individuals using proper body mechanics.
• Assists with activities of daily living and monitors patient condition.
• Attends court ordered hearings when subpoenaed and provides testimony when required.
• Maintains cleanliness of the facility and designated unit.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
