Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health counseling or related field from an accredited program.
• Licensed at the highest clinical level (LISW/LPCC/LMFT or local equivalent).
• Experience screening for mental health and substance use disorders.
• Experience with assessment and treatment planning for common disorders.
• Familiarity with brief, structured interventions (e.g., MI, ACT, PS, CBT).
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with primary care teams to refer patients to the Behavioral Health Program.
• Screen and assess patients for mental health and substance use disorders.
• Develop care plans and coordinate referrals to psychiatric consultants or external resources.
• Provide short-term counseling and evidence-based treatments.
• Coordinate care with psychiatric consultants and telehealth services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of encounters and counseling sessions.
• Participate in regional efforts to advance the Behavioral Health Program.
