Job summary

Clarvida seeks a Behavioral Health Skills Trainer to support youth (3–18) and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. You will help develop skills for home, school, and community success with a small caseload and collaboration across caregivers and providers.

Role emphasizes strengths-based approaches, trauma-informed care, and coordination with treatment teams, schools, and partners to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid certification provided by agency.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training provided by agency.

Responsibilities

About your Role:

The Behavioral Health Skills Trainer provides strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. Working with youth between the ages 3–18, the Skills Trainer helps children and adolescents develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills that promote stability, resilience, and success in home, school, and community settings.

The Skills Trainer maintains a small caseload to ensure individualized support and works collaboratively with caregivers, treatment providers, schools, and community partners to coordinate services and promote positive outcomes for youth and families. Skills training is provided during times identified as most relevant to the youth and family.

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience- additional education may substitute for years of experience
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance
