Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Behavioral Health Skills Trainer to provide strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. Working with youth ages 3–18, you will help develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills that promote stability and resilience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience; additional education may substitute.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid certification provided by agency.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification provided by agency.
• Tier 1 Collaborative Problem Solving certification provided by agency.
• Fingerprinting and background checks clearance required.

About your Role:

The Behavioral Health Skills Trainer provides strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. Working with youth between the ages 3–18, the Skills Trainer helps children and adolescents develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills that promote stability, resilience, and success in home, school, and community settings.

The Skills Trainer maintains a small caseload to ensure individualized support and works collaboratively with caregivers, treatment providers, schools, and community partners to coordinate services and promote positive outcomes for youth and families. Skills training is provided during times identified as most relevant to the youth and family.
