Clarvida is seeking a Behavioral Health Skills Trainer to provide strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. The role focuses on ages 3–18, developing social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills to promote stability across home, school, and community settings.

You will maintain a small caseload and work with caregivers, treatment providers, schools, and community partners to coordinate services, with skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience; additional education may substitute for years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid training (provided by an agency).
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training (provided by an agency).
• Tier 1 Collaborative Problem Solving training (provided by an agency).
• Fingerprinting and background checks clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families in foster care, adoption, or guardianship.
• Maintain a small caseload to ensure individualized support.
• Coordinate with caregivers, treatment providers, schools and community partners to promote positive outcomes.

About your Role:

The Behavioral Health Skills Trainer provides strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. Working with youth between the ages 3–18, the Skills Trainer helps children and adolescents develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills that promote stability, resilience, and success in home, school, and community settings.

The Skills Trainer maintains a small caseload to ensure individualized support and works collaboratively with caregivers, treatment providers, schools, and community partners to coordinate services and promote positive outcomes for youth and families. Skills training is provided during times identified as most relevant to the youth and family.
