Clarvida is seeking a Behavioral Health Skills Trainer to provide strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth (ages 3–18) and their families in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. The role emphasizes skill development and collaboration with caregivers, schools, and partners to promote stability and growth.

The role maintains a small caseload and delivers targeted skills training at times most relevant to the youth.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience; more education may substitute.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid training provided by agency.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training provided by agency.
• Tier 1 Collaborative Problem Solving training provided by agency.
• Fingerprinting/background checks clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families (ages 3–18) in foster care, adoption, or guardianship.
• Maintain a small caseload for individualized support and coordinate with caregivers, treatment providers, schools, and community partners.
• Promote positive outcomes by coordinating services and building skills in social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living areas.
• Deliver skills training at times most relevant to the youth and family.

About your Role:

The Behavioral Health Skills Trainer provides strengths-based, trauma-informed support to youth and families involved in foster care, adoption, or guardianship. Working with youth between the ages 3–18, the Skills Trainer helps children and adolescents develop social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills that promote stability, resilience, and success in home, school, and community settings.

The Skills Trainer maintains a small caseload to ensure individualized support and works collaboratively with caregivers, treatment providers, schools, and community partners to coordinate services and promote positive outcomes for youth and families. Skills training is provided during times identified as most relevant to the youth and family.
