Job summary

Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7 PM–7 AM shift to provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care. The RN will assess needs, plan and implement care, and direct nursing staff to ensure quality patient outcomes within a behavioral health setting.

Ideal candidates hold ADN or BSN, a valid Texas RN license, CPR/BLS, and at least 2 years of related experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; routine assessments and safe, compassionate care are

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college; CPR certification.
• Valid Texas RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in behavioral healthcare.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and assess patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to plan care.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Provide patient and family teaching.
• Document patient information and progress.
• Administer and monitor medications, including psychotropic drugs.
• Test vital signs and manage pain.
• Comply with laws and hospital policies.
• Uphold ethics and customer service standards.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
